Children inspired by football and languages
Local schoolchildren are being invited to explore today’s ‘world without borders’ as part of a new community project that mixes football, languages and culture.

Along with Goole AFC, Howden-based interpreting and translation company EITI and Sheffield based football training equipment manufacturer Quickplay Sport have teamed together to develop an educational workshop which will introduce children to the RESPECT programme currently being utilised in professional football. Goole AFC has revealed plans for a spectacular Presentation Ball and Fundraising Dinner at the Vikings Hotel, Goole, on Saturday 7 May 2005. As well as featuring the presentation of trophies to the club’s star players, the evening will raise money for Goole’s community- and school-based projects. It will also include a reunion of the club’s famous 1976-77 FA Cup side…
